Young Thug Ordered To Stop Speaking To Gunna During Pre-Trial Hearing And Denied Bond Again

According to BET News, rappers Young Thug and Gunna were trying to catch up since the two have not been able to be in contact with each other while behind bars, until they were interrupted by a woman within the court room.

“Hey, you guys. Everything you all are saying is being recorded,” she was heard saying to them. “Don’t laugh. Don’t talk to each other. Pretend you are not here. Don’t say anything.”

Brian Steel, Young Thug’s attorney is optimistic. He believes that the prosecution using lyrics from 2014 will not be able to sway the judge, and that it has done nothing but created a false narrative. Steel has also informed the court that his client is more than willing to comply and undergo 24-hour home confinement, rather than waiting in jail for the trial. He was still denied bond, for the third time since his arrest in May.

“We are totally focused on preparation for our upcoming trial, and we remain steadfast in our efforts to defend Mr. Williams against these false allegations,” Steel said after the hearing.

Young Thug and Gunna are a part of a 56-count indictment, including weapons and drugs charges, gang activity, and racketeering. The trial is set for January of 2023.
