A woman out of Knoxville, Tennessee is accused of hiring a hitman to murder her lover’s wife after meeting him on Match.com, ABC 6 reported.

The suspect identified as Melody Sasser allegedly hired a hitman through a dark-web site called

“Online Killer Market”

on Jan 11, according to a Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) Special Agent.

Investigators found that Sasser had an account with the site and wrote a request that said

“the hitman [must] kill a woman in Prattville, Alabama,”

according to the complaint.

“It needs to seem random or accident. Or plant drugs, do not want a long investigation,”

the complaint says the description reads, including further details about the victim and her husband’s vehicles and jobs. Sasser took out a $10,000 hit on the woman, reports reveal.

The suspect described the woman as the wife of a man she met via Match, David Wallace.

“She recently moved in with her new husband,”

she wrote. According to the complaint, the victim suffered previous harassment from Sasser, including damages to her vehicle and threatening phone calls.

A special agent received information regarding the plot from a foreign law enforcement agency on April 27. Sasser was arrested and is scheduled to appear in federal court in Knoxville on June 8.
