Shankar Mishra was reportedly drunk while on a flight from New York to New Delhi. Mishra urinated on the elderly woman who sat next to him in business class.

The former Wells Fargo executive’s attorney informed a local media outlet that a financial settlement was reached compensating the victim. Mishra also managed to get the unidentified woman’s clothing and bags cleaned. However, the woman reportedly returned the compensation and filed a complaint with the airline. Once the form executive became sober, he apologized to the woman and pleaded for her not to file the complaint. Luckily, his plea caused her not to have him arrested. Officials in New Delhi claimed to have been looking for Mishra; however, it’s unclear where he is, reports a Hindu newspaper.

Wells Fargo informed Indian news outlets that Mishra was terminated following the encounter and that the allegations against him were

“deeply disturbing.”

“Air India has taken a very serious view of the incident, where a passenger behaved in an unacceptable and undignified manner on the New York-Delhi flight that caused extreme distress to a fellow passenger.”
