Vanessa Bryant’s Wrongful Death Suit Challenged By Helicopter Pilot’s Wife

Vanessa Bryant’s wrongful death lawsuit, filed against pilot Ara Zobayan and the helicopter company, is being challenged by Ara’s wife Berge Zobayan. The wrongful death suit blames Ara for the crash that killed Kobe, Gigi, and seven other victims—including Ara himself—on January 26. Berge claims her husband was not at fault because Kobe and the other passengers voluntarily went onboard knowing the risks of flying on that fateful day.
In response to Vanessa’s filing, Berge’s lawyers stated that any injuries sustained in the accident happened after Kobe and the passengers were warned, according to TheBlast.
The rebuttal also argues that it is unclear to know what conversations happened between the pilot and any of the passengers, including Kobe. Berge also pointed out that several other third parties could have intervened.
Earlier this year Vanessa Bryant sued the pilot’s estate, saying the chopper should not have taken flight.
Despite all that is going on, Vanessa recently had a chance to talk about her husband’s legacy during his Hall Of Fame Induction. Check out the full video down below.
