Vanessa Bryant Files Legal Claim Over The Release Of Photos From Kobe’s Helicopter Crash

A spokesperson for Bryant’s family said Vanessa is seeking damages of emotional distress and mental anguish after eight members of the sheriff’s department took graphic photos from Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s helicopter crash scene with their personal phones and shared them with the public.
According to PEOPLE, Sheriff Alex Villanueva told reporters only the county coroner’s office and National Transportation Safety Board investigators were allowed to take photos of the crash site. He also confirmed that deputies did share the photos with the L.A. Times. On March 2nd, the deputies were identified and ordered to delete the photos.
The NBA legend, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others died in a helicopter crash on January 26.
