University Of Miami Professor Fired After TikTok Of Bookmarked Porn Goes Viral
University of Miami professor John Peng Zhang was recently fired after accidentally sharing his X-rated preferences during a business analytics Zoom class.
A student called attention to the bookmark during class, causing classmates to also take notice. Professor Zhang on the other hand, allegedly continued with his lesson as if he didn’t notice himself.
According to the NY Post, the screen recorded evidence went viral on TikTok with 800,000 views within a few hours. The clip showed a zoomed-in view of Zhang’s browser and also clearly displayed the Miami.edu URL in the browser, connecting the video with the institution.
Zhang reportedly told students in the next lecture,
“I didn’t see it. I’m pretty sure everybody else did … My apologies to the class.”

He followed-up in an email telling students he was “investigating” the situation, and asked students to stop sharing details or links to the story. The student who posted the original viral TikTok video removed it online after a request from the school administration.
