Comedian Tiffany Haddish gave fans an inside look into her life during an Instagram Live chat with Kenny Burns. During the conversation, the actress spoke about living with an abusive mother, growing up in foster care, and refusing to sell her body for fame.

According to The Jasmine Brand, Haddish and her two sisters were split up when she was about 13-years-old. She was placed in several foster care homes before her grandma was finally granted custody of her and her siblings.

Haddish tearfully opened up about abuse from her mother, saying she’d often try to make her mom laugh in order to stop the beatings. She also talked about the experiences she faced with high-profiling industry men. Haddish knew, through her faith in God, she would be successful without sleeping her way to the top.

Haddish said,

“A whole lot of not giving up no p***y so that you get held back. It’s a lot of men out here mad at me right now. Its a lot of dudes that used to tell me unless you f**k me you not gonna get here unless you my girl it’s me that’s gonna walk you through the door. And I’m like no it’s God walking me in the door. You don’t walk me in no door.”

When Burns asked if there will be a sequel to hit film ”Girls Trip,” Haddish revealed that she and castmates are trying to make something happen.

In the clip below, Haddish opens up about how she met her husband and what he did to win her over.
