Vice President Kamala Harris was hit with a Christmas Eve surprise after three busloads of migrants were dropped off at her Washington D.C. residence amid freezing temperatures, NY Post reported.

The buses, believed to be from Texas, let off three busloads of migrants in front of the Naval Observatory, where Harris lives during the country’s most frigid conditions since 1989, reports state. Temperatures were at about 18 degrees Saturday night when the asylum seekers were dropped off. According to the outlet, the migrants were seen wearing only T-shirts or light sweatshirts in the blistering cold temperatures.

They were assisted by the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network and were provided blankets and placed on another bus headed for a local church.

Earlier this year, Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent two busloads of over 100 migrants to Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence in retaliation to the Biden-Harris administration for the Texas border crises. Abbott’s office said it has delivered more than 8,400 migrants to D.C. alone since April, NBC News reported earlier this month.

It is unclear which country the migrants originally came from.
