The Cheesecake Factory Won’t Pay It’s Rent Due To Coronavirus, So Why Should We?

The Cheesecake Factory won’t be paying rent come April 1st due to lack of business because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the Daily News, a letter published on Eater by CEO David Overton states,

“the severe decrease in restaurant traffic has severely decreased our cash flow,” meaning none of its restaurants would pay their rent.”

The popular restaurant chain encompasses 38,000 employees at over 200 locations across 39 states. Currently, 27 of those locations have closed, while others have resulted in delivery and takeout due to social distancing.

We’re all struggling because of the uncertainty of the virus, but if we have to pay our rent on the first, why does this corporation get a pass?

You mean to tell me ya’ll didn’t save?
