Texas Man Confesses To Decapitating Wife Three Months After Marriage

On Wednesday, January 11th, deputies of the The Waller County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a small home 44 miles northwest of Houston, after receiving a call about a murder. Inside the home, they discovered the body of Anggy Diaz. According to CBS News, the 21-year-old was found decapitated. Investigators believe a kitchen knife was used as the murder weapon.

The husband of Diaz, Jared Dicus, was located and arrested at the murder scene. After he was brought to the sheriff’s office, Dicus gave investigators a full confession, admitting to the killing of his wife. He has since then been charged with murder, and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Anggy Diaz was an immigrant from Nicaragua who had been working multiple jobs in order to pay for her mother’s cancer treatments, CBS affiliate KHOU-TV reported. Diaz and Dicus were newlyweds, and were married October of 2022. Her family members have now created a GoFundMe page in order to pay for the unexpected funeral expenses.

“Our family is shattered by the loss of such a young life,” the fundraiser reads. “She was the light to our family and community. Always with a smile, and cheerful personality. The absence of her from our lives will be felt forever.”

#Clique, please keep the family of Anggy Diaz in your thoughts and prayers.
