Texas 8-Year-Old Found With Gun And Knives At Elementary School

On December 13th, at around 11:40 A.M., police officers arrived to an elementary school in Schertz, Texas after receiving a call about an 8-year-old who had brought a handgun on campus, as reported by KENS 5.

A teacher told authorities that a frightened student had taken her aside to let her know that her classmate showed her a firearm while at lunch. The teacher found the student and the gun concealed in clothes, and brought them to the front office. When members of the Schertz Police Department arrived to the school and searched the entirety of child’s backpack, they discovered two knives.

Schertz officials have stated that the investigation is ongoing, but that they are collaborating with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office to determine whether or not the child or his parents will be charged.
