Everyone’s emotions are running high during this Coronavirus crisis, and Serena Williams is like all of us. The tennis player posted several videos on TikTok revealing how much the stress and anxiety are getting to her.

I wanted to take a minute and talk about my experience with Corona. It started out with me feeling like, ‘oh, it can’t really affect me,’ and then suddenly, Indian Wells was canceled. And I was like ‘oh okay, that’s weird but I have a little time off and I’m going to enjoy that time off.’ And that one cancellation led to another led to another that led to all this anxiety that I’m feeling.

And I’m just like, now I’ve been social distancing for actually a really long time for probably like two weeks now. But every little thing makes me really crazy, and by anxiety I mean like, I’m just on edge, anytime anyone sneezes around me or coughs I get crazy.

The 38-year-old mom even shared that she had a stressful moment with her 2-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr . in the videos.

And I don’t hang out with anyone so when I say anyone I mean my daughter, she coughed and I got angry. I gave her a side eye. I gave her that ‘Angry Serena.’

And then I got sad, I was like, ‘Is she okay? Is there something wrong with my daughter?’ like, ‘Is there anything I can do?’

And I just don’t know what to do so, instead of being relaxed I’m really under a ton of stress. I never expected to be relaxed, but it is what it is and we will get through this. We have to and I just wanted to update you on what I was doing.

Before you go and mom shame her, many moms and dads are going to do the same thing. Within a second of being angry, they will become concerned about their child.

Now, that we all are pretty much confined at home with just the people who live with us we are going to take our stress out on them. We know that they are not going anywhere. Mostly because they can’t. You know, because more and more of us are being quarantined in our homes, and we can’t leave them.
