Second Great Clips Hairstylist With COVID-19 Possibly Exposed 56 Clients, Missouri Officials Say

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department said on Saturday during a press conference that a second stylist working at Great Clips in Springfield, Missouri tested positive for coronavirus. The stylist who had very mild symptoms continued to work from May 16 to May 20.
The stylist potentially exposed 56 clients, even though all those involved were wearing masks. The clients were immediately alerted by the Health Department and offered free testing according to The Kansas City Star.
Another Great Clips hairdresser at the same location also tested positive had served 84 clients and exposed seven co-workers. According to officials, the stylist also went to a Walmart, Dairy Queen, and a fitness center.
Missouri leaders opened salons and barbershops on May 4.
