San Antonio Man Located And Arrested After Fatally Shooting Girlfriend On Thanksgiving

At 11:50 P.M. Thanksgiving night, a 22-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to her head in San Antonio, Texas. Joanna Baker was taken to a nearby hospital and was in critical condition, but she eventually succumbed to her wounds, as reported by KSAT.
Shortly after the woman’s death, investigators named her boyfriend, 24-year-old Paris Shaw, as the suspect, but he was nowhere to be found. Bexar County Sheriff’s Office offered an award of $5,000 to anyone that could provide a tip that would lead to an arrest.
Sunday, at around 5 P.M., Shaw was finally discovered and arrested, when someone reported him to authorities for looking into vehicles within their neighborhood. When police arrived, Shaw attempted to flee, but he was caught and detained after a brief chase. That was when officers discovered that he was already wanted.
Paris Shaw has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury-family/dating, a first-degree felony, and burglary of a building, criminal trespassing and evading arrest. His bond has been set at $232,000.
