Rihanna’s Court Battle With Dad Postponed Due To COVID-19 Outbreak, Singer Living In The U.K.

CNN
Rihanna’s day in court with dad Ronald Fenty has been postponed due to Covid-19.
The original trial date was scheduled for June 23, 2020, but because of Coronavirus and Rihanna’s inability to travel from London—where she currently lives —to Los Angeles, both the R&B singer and her father have agreed to reschedule their court date for September 22.
According to The Blast, the lawsuit claims the singer’s dad was using her name to book gigs without her knowledge. Over the years, Rihanna and her legal team have fired off cease and desists letters to Ronald, but he continues to try to profit off of his famous daughter.
The lawsuit is seeking an injunction to prohibit Ronald from using Rihanna’s name, and for unspecified damages. Ronald has denied all allegations.
