Rats Are Taking Over New Orleans Because of Social Distancing

While the humans are away, the rats are coming out to play in New Orleans.

As of yesterday, all of Louisiana has been asked to stay at home, which means that people are not eating out in the restaurants like they are used to. Without those, who walk on two feet, enjoying Cajun cuisine, the rats need to find new places to eat. While they normally hide in the shadows, they are being so bold as to come into the light and devour anything they find in the French Quarter.

Rats are not only gross, but they also can spread diseases. Thus, the city has to get it under control because Coronavirus is enough to handle at the current time. Claudia Riegel, executive director of the New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board, told WWL that they will be putting out traps once a week as compared to once a quarter to catch the rodents until social distancing is over.

Once the humans are back to dining out, then hopefully the rodents will return to their secret hideout.

Am I the only one who thinks that this would make a great Disney animated movie? If not that, than a horror where the rats keep growing until they are the size of trucks and starting eating everything and everyone in their path. I need to get out more. Oh, wait!
