Protesters Demand Justice In Shooting Death of Ahmaud Arbery
Protesters in Brunswick, Georgia took to the streets after video, allegedly showing the fatal shooting of unarmed black jogger Ahmaud Arbery, surfaced online. The white man accused of killing him claims he acted in self-defense.
The devastated family of 25-year-old Arbery wants justice after he was shot multiple times while jogging by a white man and his son, who claimed they thought he was a threat. More than 100 people joined together Tuesday for the peaceful protest, hours after video reportedly showing the deadly shooting went viral.
The family has set up a website and petition in Arbery’s honor, calling for justice.

“We are looking for justice, and that’s what we want,” said Thea Brooks, Arbery’s aunt. “He’s not here to be the voice, so we are his voice.”
