The police investigation into the murder of Pop Smoke is not going as well as family and fans hoped, and it’s due in part to the coronavirus.

COVID-19 and related issues have become the LAPD’s top priority over the past 2 months, according to TMZ—which means less time and resources are being allocated towards the investigation of the “Welcome To The Party” rapper’s homicide.

Once officials are able to resume the investigation, detectives want to go out and speak with key witnesses in-person. The case faced some challenges early on as cops claimed to have encountered “witness issues,” as key people refused to talk or those who did turned out to have unreliable information.

Do you think police will actually do their best to solve Pop Smoke’s murder once the Coronavirus pandemic subsides?
