According to the New York Post, a newborn was reportedly abandoned by his parents at an airport in Isreal. The Independent reports that the parents attempted to get on their flight without the infant after getting into an argument over having to purchase another ticket for the child.

On Tuesday, the parents, who remain unidentified, went to the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv with their child. The couple had planned to board a flight with Ryanair as they were headed to Brussels. Both parents had Belgian passports.

Reports say once they learned that they had to pay for their child, they left the child at the Ryanair check-in desk in his stroller as they rushed to catch their flight. Airport officials say the pair arrived late and was determined to make their flight with or without their child

Employees at the airport realized that the parents left the baby and followed them as an employee told them to get their child. The staff then alerted officials and security at the airport. According to Israel today, the parents missed their flight.
