NY Authorities Seize $800,000 Worth of Weaves From Chinese Prison Camps

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials seized 13 tons of weaves and other beauty products—worth an estimated $800,000—from a Chinese Internment camp.

The seizure occurred due to suspicion the weaves were made from human hair, and the people making them face human rights violations.

Workers inside these Chinese internment camps are usually ethnic minorities forced to denounce their religion and language and are often physically abused, per the AP.
