Murderer Chris Watts Has Been Receiving “Racy” Letters With Multiple Women While In Prison

In 2018, Chris Watts was sentenced to life in prison for killing his pregnant wife and two daughters. After strangling his wife and smothering his two toddlers, he disposed of their remains at his job site, an oil company.

Years after the murders have taken place, and two documentaries later, the now 35-year-old has been receiving “racy” letters and fan mail, according to People.

“They send sexy pictures, and he responds,” says an unnamed source, who has had contact with Watts in the Wisconsin prison. “There are a lot of women who think he’s handsome and misunderstood. They send a lot of letters.”

As long as the there aren’t any threats to someone’s safety, those incarcerated are permitted to correspond with anyone- including those who’ve learned of Watts’ crimes through news sources, social media, and/or television programs. Pornography is prohibited, but sexually suggestive images are allowed.

The source believes that Watts has resorted to this form of communication because he is both bored and lonely.

“He’s got nothing else to do,” the source explains. “So he feeds his ego in that way. Because he’s not popular at all in prison. He’s in protective custody.”
