The mother of a murdered teen helped police track down his killer so they could arrest him, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Leslie Bell’s 17-year-old son Isaiah Davis was killed in October, after being shot and then set on fire in an alleyway. His mother talked to people who saw him last, and they told her he was last seen with 34-year-old Faheem Norwood.
Bell went to talk to Norwood about the crime, and she said her gut told her that he was the one who committed it. She contacted the police, who arrested him for first-degree murder on December 31.
I looked him in his eye, and I knew that it was him who hurt my son,” Bell said.
News reports state Norwood, who was on parole for murder already, used a U-Haul to take Davis’ body to the place where it was later discovered.
