A Texas teenager who reportedly went missing was arrested after sending Nebraska state troopers on a high-speed chase that led to the discovery of his mother’s dead body in the trunk, NY Post reports.

Tyler Roenz, 17, and his mother 49-year-old Michelle Roenz were last seen around noon Thursday in Humble, Texas. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office tried pulling over what they didn’t know was the missing teen at the time, in Lincoln, Nebraska only to be led on a high-speed chase. Roenz vehicle reportedly crashed during the chase and police found the missing mom’s lifeless body in the trunk. Tyler was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. It is unclear what charges were brought against the teen.

According to ABC13, in March, Tyler was charged with attempted sexual assault, for allegedly attacking an 18-year-old girl in his car. Reports state that Tyler

“ripped off her shirt, and then kicked her in the face.”
