Michigan Man Arrested For Yelling Antisemitic Slurs At Jewish Daycare Moons Judge During Hearing

In Friday, December 2nd, Hassan Chokr was arrested after yelling antisemitic slurs at a Jewish daycare center. When officers arrived to the scene, he resisted arrest. Already out on bond, he appeared in court the following Monday for a virtual emergency bond motion hearing, as reported by New York Post.

During the hearing, a prosecutor stated that Chokr had “posted videos and statements on Instagram where he talks about buying guns, and in one of his Instagram posts the defendant says ‘Your Jew tactics will only backfire on you, you have no place on this earth, Jew [expletive], Jew mother [expletives]. A storm is coming to wipe you all out of our lives.’”

After hearing his post read aloud, Chokr became increasingly upset, and began yelling and interrupting court proceedings, while pointing to the camera. Judge Regina Thomas eventually muted his microphone, and his response to being silenced was pulling down his pants, turning around, and bending over to expose the entirety of his rear end.

“I want the record to reflect that while the court has muted the defendant’s microphone, he appears to be yelling and pointing at the camera at the Oakland County Jail,” Thomas said. “And now he has removed his pants to show the court his backside.”

Unsurprisingly, the court has revoked Chokr’s bond, and he will remain in Oakland County Jail. “We are free to say whatever we want to say, but we are not free from the consequences,” Thomas explained. “He exercised his right, and I am exercising my right to give him a consequence for that.”
