Memphis Woman Sets House With Seven People Inside On Fire After Argument About Hamburger

On November 4th, in a Memphis, Tennessee home, a heated argument over a hamburger caused Pamela Crawley West to act irrationally. After a few minutes of going back and forth with a wheelchair-bound woman, the 54-year-old allegedly told her “have fun getting out of the house” as she slammed the front door behind her.

With four adults and three children still inside the house, a witness saw West set a bag of clothes that were on the porch on fire with a cigarette lighter, and then walk away. According to Action News 5, the front of the house went up in flames. Fortunately, none of the people inside were injured.

Later that day, West was arrested and charged with aggravated arson. She’s currently being held in Shelby County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
