Mayor Tells Cops To Crack Down on Large Gatherings After Catching His Wife At a Party

It’s getting personal. Mayor of Alton, Illinois puts his foot down after having to put up with his wife partying. Mayor Brant Walker has issued a public apology after police caught his wife at a large party in violation of the state’s stay-at-home order
Mayor Walker was at home at around 1 a.m on Saturday night. Meanwhile, his wife was at a bar downtown partying like a college girl. The police chief called the Mayor to inform him that they shut down a large gathering downtown, and his wife was there. The First Lady Shannon Walker was turning up.
“I instructed the Police Chief to treat her as he would any citizen violating the ‘Stay At Home’ order and to ensure that she received no special treatment,” Walker wrote.
