Man Sent to the Hospital After Fracturing Penis During Sex, Says He Heard a ‘Snap’

A Tanzanian man had to be rushed to the hospital after hearing a

“snap”

during sex with his female partner, NY Post reported. 

According to the International Journal of Surgery Case, the man heard a snap

“when the penis slipped out, [and] lost the way”

and struck the woman

“as he was [tried] to reinsert it.”

The was rushed to the hospital where he suffered a

“fractured”

penis. His penis was reportedly

“swollen, painful, and bloody,”

reports reveal. 

Doctors say when the penis, which has no bones, is

“fractured”

it is known as

“the tunica albuginea”

which is when the

“fibrous connective tissue, is injured or ruptured.” 

According to the outlet, MRI showed that the man had wounded his penis in three areas along the tunica albuginea.

“The pair of erectile tissue bodies known as the corpora cavernosa and in another area called the corpus spongiosum,”

reports state. He also suffered a

“partial tear through the urethra,”

the tube that carries semen and urine out of the penis, NY Post reported. 

The Tanzanian man underwent surgery on his penis and was discharged within three days. He remained with a catheter after leaving the hospital that was later removed after 21 days.

“He was seen at the clinic six month post-operative where he reported to have resumed his sexual life with no any difficulties and the penile shaft looked OK,”

his doctors reported.
