Sadly, an NYC man was killed after being repeatedly stabbed by a random assailant while exiting the subway train, as NYC subway attacks continue to surge, Dailymail reports.
The unprovoked attack happened Friday in the Bronx as the victim exited a northbound 4 train. Video surveillance captured the horrifying moment. The 38-year-old victim is seen exiting the train, wearing a red jacket and white pants when he is suddenly jumped on by the knifeman. The victim is seen trying to fight the attacker off, to no avail. The assailant who police described as
“a man with a dark complexion, approximately 5’11 and 160 lbs, wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and Nike sneakers,”
fled the scene. Police say the victim was stabbed five times and was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Both the victim and the attacker have yet to be identified. No arrests have been made, reports state.
Concerns over subway passengers’ safety have been an ongoing topic for NYC Mayor Adams. Just a little over a week ago a mom of five was brutally beaten by a homeless man at a Queens subway station.
“I remember hearing that they would have cops posted on platforms, riding the trains,”
Elizabeth Gomes told the Post as she revealed the injuries to her brutal attack.
“When we’re out there, we’re by ourselves, we’re fighting these battles by ourselves…”
she added.
