Man Faces Up To 5 Years in Prison After Calling Ex-girlfriend Over 800 Times in 2 Days, Reports Say

A Maryland man was arrested for allegedly ‘cyber-stalking’ his ex-girlfriend, calling her over 800 times in just two days, prosecutors say per the NY Post.

Derik Wayne Bowers, 44, is accused of harassing his former lover online via Facebook and calling and texting her a disturbing amount of times. According to prosecutors, Bowers flooded his ex’s phone with 815 calls in a two day duration. 

He also reportedly wrote her

“thousands of text messages”

for several months, and

“used social media posts to embarrass her and interfere with her livelihood,”

reports reveal. 

Bowers was charged with one count of cyberstalking. He faces up to five years if convicted reports note.
