A man from Pennsylvania, Paddy Patrick Purcell, was apprehended after getting into a young girl’s bed as she was sleeping. According to the New York Post, the man got into the 9-year-old’s bed wearing merely boxers as he touched her

“inappropriately,”

officials say. 

The 32-year-old was caught after the young girl woke up close to 1 a.m. on Sunday and discovered the partially naked man beside her. Officials say the unidentified girl’s father discovered the man sitting on her bed wearing a blanket after she ran to notify her father. She informed officials that the man

“touched her inappropriately.”

Purcell left the scene before authorities arrived; however, he was later found near his apartment. Officials think he got into the house because the door was unlocked. 

Court records attained by Action News say that the suspect left his jacket and keys, which had his name on them. The father revealed that he didn’t know Purcell. 

Purcell has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and indecent assault of a child under 13 years old, reports The Post. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
