Oakland County Sheriff's Office

A man from Michigan reportedly murdered his former girlfriend on Saturday in front of their child, prosecutors say, reports Fox

Prosecutors claim that 43-year-old Gregory Keyier-Deniro Davis trailed Anni Namou to her job, at Legend Motors. Authorities say he then utilized his vehicle to block her car in. As she ran away, he allegedly went on to shoot her two times. Reports added that their child saw the shooting from the woman’s car.

The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office says the man also aimed the firearm at other people and let off more shots. Karen McDonald, the prosecutor, revealed that the incident was a tragedy.

McDonald added,

“Every month an average of 70 women are shot and killed by an intimate partner in this country. This event occurred in a place of business where other employees were just a few feet away. My office has charged this individual with first-degree murder, the most serious charge under Michigan law, and we will vigorously prosecute this perpetrator for his alleged actions.”

According to Fox 2, Davis was arraigned on Tuesday and has been charged with

“first-degree premeditated murder, felon in possession of a firearm, assault with intent to murder, four counts of felony firearm second offense, and felonious assault.”
