 Man Arrested After Reportedly Stabbing His Mother To Death and Leaving Her In A Pool Of Blood Because She Evicted Him

A man, Levi Isaac Davis, from Idaho has been arrested and charged with murder after reportedly stabbing his mother, Karly Cantrell, to death. The man allegedly left his mother in a pool of blood because she evicted him due to his

“poor behavior,”

police say. The 26-year-old was taken into custody after his mother was discovered dead in her home by her husband on Monday. According to the Idaho Statesman, the woman was stabbed in her abdomen and neck.

when he arrived home. Large portions of her skin and hair were allegedly missing.  Davis was arrested at a halfway house after a neighbor informed officials of his vehicle, reports KTVB. Police discovered clothes that contained blood in his car. Davis also had multiple wounds on his body. 

The woman’s two teen son’s told officials that they last seen their mother at 7:35 a.m. before heading to school. One son, 15, texted Cantrell about forgetting a class project, which she said she will drop off; however, she never dropped it off. The teen boys reached out to their mother via text message later on that day but never got a response. An acquaintance of the suspect told authorities that Davis arrived to his home with

“with what appeared to be blood on his pants”

and asked to shower there, says an affidavit. He told his friend that he wounded himself with a knife; however, the unidentified acquaintance requested for him to leave. 

Following Davis’ arrest, during his interview with police, reports say he

“showed no emotion when talking about the death of his mother.”

He also pretended to go to sleep amid the police interview. 

Davis was charged with with

“second-degree murder”

and

“a parole violation,”

reports The Post. The suspect’s bond has been set at $5 million. The charged can be possibly changed to first-degree murder, said Sean Jorgensen, Canyon County Prosecutor.
