Jersey Man Arrested After Killing His Sister-In-Law And Niece With Ax

A New Jersey man accused of killing his sister-in-law and niece in their Roselle home is in police custody after finally being located in Maryland, ABC 7 New York reports.

On Wednesday, March 19th, after receiving concerning text messages, Scott Morrison came home to discover the bodies of his wife and daughter bloody and wrapped in sheets underneath a bed in an upstairs bedroom. Keisha Morrison and 9-year-old Kelsey Morrison, had died after being attacked with an ax. Morrison’s brother, Everoy, was immediately named the suspect.

“The person of interest is identified as Everoy J. Morrison, 44, of Roselle,” Maryland State Police said in a statement. “Morrison was the operator of a 2019 silver BMW 750 with a New Jersey registration, which was reported stolen.

According to police records, the suspect had been living in the basement of his brother’s home for about two years. Due to issues with his sister-in-law and nieces, he was asked to move out. “She said she wanted him out,” a family member explained. “He said he would leave before the end of the month. But he didn’t. He didn’t leave. He murdered them.”

At around 4 P.M., just hours after police officials began looking for him, Morrison was arrested. As of now, the charges that the suspected killer will be facing have yet to be announced.
