Jeannie Mai and Jeezy are getting trolled by coronavirus insults because Mai is Asian.
During “The Real” Mai slammed rumors of her having the coronavirus because of her ethnicity and urged the fact that this is not a joking matter.
“That’s so hurtful because there are people that are actually dying from this.” Mai also stressed the fact that Asians all over are dealing with the insults. “I also heard that there are schools that are considering to quarantine Asian kids because they just want to keep it safe,” Mai stated.
Mai urges people to educate themselves because misinformation and fear will lead to Xenophobia which is a deep-rooted fear against foreigners. Cohost Loni Love also mentioned that they previously had Dr. Oz on the show and he assured everyone that the coronavirus is NOT airborne.
According to PageSix, just this week there were nearly 15,000 cases of the coronavirus reported from just one Chinese province. The CDC just confirmed yesterday that the 14th person in the USA has been infected.
