Gender Reveal Fire Show Ends In 7,000 Acre Wildfire

Babies are a blessing, and creative gender reveal parties ahead of their arrivals have become the norm. Too bad one incoming newborn’s celebration went up in smoke, and I mean literally!

A pyrotechnic device used to pump out punk and blue smoke at a gender reveal in San Bernardino County is being blamed for causing a wildfire that spread throughout 7,000 acres in Southern California.

Surveillance video from the party shows a couple with several children walking into the grass at the edge of the El Dorado Ranch Park in Yucaipa, according to CNN. Another person is seen in the video appearing to light the device. Soon after, the family can be seen in video scrambling and grabbing water bottles as the flames grow.

The family has yet to be publicly identified. No arrests have been made, and the District Attorney will decide whether any charges will be filed against the culprits.
