Elementary School Student Shows Off Gun In School Causing It To Accidentally Fire, Reports Say

According to school officials, a student brought a gun to a Texas elementary school causing it the mistakenly discharge. The incident occurred on Thursday close to 7:15 a.m. at John Carpenter Elementary School, reports the New York Post.
Luckily, no one was brutally injured; however, one child was struck by a form of debris and officials responded to the encounter. The student who was struck was later released to their parent.
Brandy Feilds, a mother, told WFAA, her daughter, a fifth grader, got news from a friend that a student was showing off a firearm inside the lunchroom causing it to discharged. The identity or age of the student haven’t been revealed.
Dallas Independent School District said in a statement, the unidentified student
“will be disciplined according to the Student Code of Conduct.”
The investigation is ongoing.
