Detroit Man Used His Life Savings To Pay For Nurses Gasoline, Others Chip In When He Ran Out

A Detroit man is giving back to his local nurses by standing outside and paying for their gas as they drive by.

Michigan is one of the hardest-hit states in the pandemic, according to Johns Hopkins University. Allen Marshall used $900 he’d been saving to buy gas for Detroit nurses during the coronavirus pandemic.

When Marshall ran out of money, other residents chipped in to help pay for the gas also. Marshall’s mother turned 97 Tuesday, but he couldn’t see her at her nursing home. He planned on spending his savings on something special for himself, but he felt this was a better use of the money.

Big ups to Allan for giving back to the nurses!
