COVID & Social Distancing Rules Have Caused Condom Sales To Plummet Globally

It looks like people are not doing the deed as much during the pandemic – at least not with protection. Condom sales have dropped massively in the last two years, NY Post reports.

The sale of condoms dropped 40% worldwide, according to the largest seller in the world, a company called Karex. And sales are not going back up very quickly, either.

It makes sense that people are having less sex due to social distancing guidelines and social places closing. Karex’s CEO blames a lot of it on hotels not being open and governments not giving them out.

A large portion [of condoms] is distributed by governments around the world, which have reduced [distribution] significantly during COVID-19,” said Goh Miah Kiat.

Clique, do you think condom sales will go back up?
