College Student Is Banned From Attending Virtual Classes After Failing To Be Vaccinated

A Rutgers University student is outraged after he was banned from taking online classes because he isn’t vaccinated. 22-year-old Logan Hollar informed NJ.COM that he ignored the school’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate because he was taking all of his classes online. However, Hollar learned he was locked out of his college email when he went to pay his college tuition last month and was told he needs to be vaccinated although he was taking remote classes.

Reports say the 22-year-old boy missed his first class on September 1 and was told that it could take several weeks until his COVID-19 vaccination exemption application is approved.  He told the news outlet,

“I’ll probably have to transfer to a different university.”

He continued to say,

“I find it concerning for the vaccine to be pushed by the university rather than my doctor… If someone wants to be vaccinated, that’s fine with me, but I don’t think they should be pushed.”

According to Dory Devlin, Rutgers’ spokeswoman, the college has

“provided comprehensive information and direction to students to meet vaccine requirements through several communications channels.”
