An Uber driver in California was busted for raping an intoxicated woman who woke up in the middle of the sick act.
According to Fontana police, Alonso Calle, 32, was arrested on suspicion of rape on Sunday. This took place after a woman filed a report with detectives and stated that she had been drinking with friends before either falling asleep or passing out in Calle’s car.
The woman who wants to remain anonymous stated that when she woke up from being passed out she found Calle on top of her.
Police documents claim that Calle admitted to having sex with the woman inside his car at McDermott Park in Fontana. Then he stated that the woman got upset and said something about being sexually assaulted before demanding to be let out of his car.
He later called police to report that he had consensual sex with a “very intoxicated” passenger who may claim that she had been raped. He also claimed the victim “offered him sex” at the time.
Calle had been deactivated from the ride-sharing app following his arrest, a spokesperson for Uber told The Post in a statement.
“What the rider reported to police is extremely disturbing and has no place in our community,” the statement read, adding that the company is also cooperating with police in the ongoing investigation.
According to CBS Los Angeles, detectives on the case have also found evidence that backs up the victim’s account. It’s unclear if Calle, who was taken into custody at the West Valley Detention Center, has hired an attorney. He was no longer in custody as of early Monday after being released on bail, online records show.
