Buffalo Man Discovered Frozen To Death On Street During Historic Winter Storm

Many faced below freezing temperatures as winter storms swept across the nation this weekend. Those in Buffalo, New York were in one of the areas hit the hardest. Over 30,000 people were without power, and over 4 dozen vehicles were stuck on the roadways, including 10 firetrucks, as reported by MSNBC affiliate WGRZ News.
According to New York Post, a frozen body was found lying face down on Saturday morning, Christmas Eve. As the video of the body’s discovery was circulating on social media, Sophia Clay was pleading with her Facebook friends to be on the lookout for her missing brother, William Clay.
“Our brother is missing,” she explained. “From area around Rounds and Bailey. He frequents 7 Eleven on Bailey. If he comes to your door please help him. Anyone with any info please call me on messenger. Please pray for his safety.”
Hours later, Sophia Clay announced the tragic loss of her brother’s life, and set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses. “I am the sister of the gentleman that lost his life during the 2022 Blizzard on 12/24/2022,” she wrote on the crowdfunding site. “My brother unexpectedly lost his life on his Birthday.” According to Clay, her brother’s body was discovered less than a mile away from his home.
William Clay’s son, Jules Clay, says that he was able to speak to his father shortly before his passing. “This pain is overwhelming,” he wrote on Facebook. “I can’t stop crying. Grateful I spoke to him & told him I love him yesterday.”
