Brooklyn Man Asks To Borrow Cell Phone Then Transfers Money From Cash App

Police in Brooklyn, New York are now asking for help to identify a man who reportedly stole a phone and transferred money to himself, Audacy reported.

On January 8th, at around 11:15 A.M., a man reportedly asked to borrow a cellphone to make a phone call. When the 30-year-old agreed to let him use it, the man fled with their phone. Later that day, the suspect transferred money to himself by accessing the victim’s bank account and Cash App.

After over a week of investigating, and without any leads, officials have released a photo of the suspect and are now offering a reward to anyone who can give information that will lead to an arrest.
