An elderly man was discovered dead in the hallway of a Staten Island apartment building, with facial injuries and disturbing messages on him. His body allegedly had “I touch little girls” and “I take dolls in my room for girls age 1-5” written on it.
Police did not identify the man, but a neighbor who discovered him told the NY Post it was 80-year-old, Robert Raynor. Isaac Williams, the neighbor, said he heard a ruckus in the middle of the night.
“It was so loud, I could hear it over the air conditioner. What the hell are they doing down there?’ It was loud banging, like ‘boom, boom, boom.’ Like people were wrestling, or someone was throwing somebody around.”
Williams said the next morning, he was leaving the building when he saw Raynor laying on the floor shirtless, with his pants down and arms up like he had been dragged. He got close to Raynor to see if he was breathing and noticed the writing and facial injuries.
According to Williams, Raynor was a frail old man that seemed very weak and “looked 110”, so he was surprised to hear the allegations. He rarely came outside, the neighbor said.
Arrest records show he had been jailed two dozen times, but nothing hinting at sexual things with children. He is also not on the state’s sex offender registry.
Cops are investigating the cause of death and trying to figure out who did this.
Clique, do you think this was an act of revenge?
