 2021 Met Gala Offers Plant-Based Menu Alongside ‘America : A Lexicon of Fashion’ Theme

As this year’s Met Gala goes on, details about what the stars are chowing down on came out courtesy of Vogue.

The cuisine this year is vegan and made with sustainably sourced ingredients. The dishes, while not released yet, are all inspired by US regions, to keep with the event’s theme of ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’.

Staff from culinary magazine Bon Appétit and the head chef of esteemed Harlem foodery Red Rooster, Marcus Samuelsson, picked the 10 chefs who are making the stars’ dinners tonight. 

The chosen ones are made up of prestigious restaurant and TV chefs: Fariyal Abdullahi, Nasim Alikhani, Emma Bengtsson, Lazarus Lynch, Junghyun Park, Erik Ramirez, Thomas Raquel, Sophia Roe, Simone Tong, and Fabian von Hauske.
