Singer Billie Eilish is defending her friendship with Drake following criticism the two received last year for texting. But, Eilish says there are “more important things for people to worry about”.
Last year, the 18-year-old Grammy winner sparked controversy after she revealed the 33-year-old Canadian rapper had been texting her. People called out Drake for texting her and 15-year-old “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown.
Now, in her recent interview with US Vogue, the multi-Grammy award-winning singer said the internet was such a “mess right now”, and that “everybody’s so sensitive”.
According to Eilish, “A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about. Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the f*** is that s***?.”
Eilish also shares how much she understands why some celebrities struggle with their mental health. She added:
“As a fan growing up, I was always like ‘What the f*** is wrong with them? All the scandals. The Britney moment. You grow up thinking they’re pretty and they’re skinny; why would they f*** it up? But the bigger I get, the more I’m like ‘Oh, my God, of course they had to do that’.”
Y’all think people need to lay off her and Drizzy’s friendship?
