Wendy Williams on Concerns About her Alarming On-Air Behavior: ‘I’m Not Perfect’

Wendy Williams sent social media timelines spiraling after recently displaying what many “Wendy Williams Show” viewers believed was “drug-induced” behavior, and now, the TV host seems to be responding to the concerns.

Williams—who’s openly admitted to substance abuse problems in the past—appeared to address rumors she relapsed Monday, saying, “I always say I love you for watching ‘cause I really, really do. I come here every day and I try to do the best that I can for you,” the 56-year-old shared. “I appreciate you watching, but even after all of these years, it’s still work. An effort put in for the hour I’m out here, you know? I guess every day is not perfect, but I’m not a perfectionist. I’m not perfect.”

She continued, “I do appreciate you putting in the effort to watch us, and I love entertaining you. You know? It’s not easy. It is not easy, you’re a tough crowd.”

While she didn’t not provide a specific reason for her recent awkward slip-ups during her live show, Williams has been open about her Graves’ disease diagnosis in the past which can cause cognitive impairment.
