Fans are accusing rapper J.Cole of being misogynistic due to controversial lyrics in his new song “Snow on the Bluff.”
After the rapper dropped the single late Tuesday night, fans began to dissect the lyrics, concluding Cole was taking shots at fellow rapper Noname—who recently criticized black artists who benefit from using Black struggles in their songs but never outwardly show support.
On the track, Cole describes a Black woman who has been angered by the system, saying instead of talking down to people around her she should educate others.
While ”Snow on the Bluff” has faced certain criticism, others praised Cole for opening a dialogue about people becoming educated on different issues.
After the song’s release, the Hip-Hop star sent out a thread of tweets replying to the controversy.
