171 Officers Called Sick To Work After Murder Charges In Rayshard Brooks Are Filed

Over 170 officers have called out of work sick with what is nicknamed the “Blue Flu.” This has been ongoing since last Wednesday after Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard brought charges against the two officers; Garrett Rolfe and Devin Brosnan, who was involved in Rayshard Brooks’ murder.

Officers also used their holiday time, which covered 105 shifts and vacation time, which included another 12 shifts, according to 11 Alive. Rolfe was charged with 11 charges, including felony murder, and Brosnan was charged with three charges, which included aggravated assault.

Hours after Rolfe and Brosnan were indicted, barricades were set up outside the precinct.
