The curse of the lottery proves itself to be sort of real. As a North Carolina man that won $10 million just about tree years ago has now been arrested and charged with murder.
Michael Todd Hill, 52, who won the lottery in 2017, was taken into custody for the murder of 23-year old Keonna Graham. A Sure Stay Hotel housekeeper found her body around 11:30 am last Monday. Hill was seen checking into the hotel the day before, but none of the hotel staff saw a Graham during his stay.
Keonna was a correctional officer at a prison in Burgas, North Carolina, and working with the mentally disabled in a local rehabilitation center. Her family says, “she was very loved and very beautiful. Our family is hurting.”
Hill is currently being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center following his court appearance. He is being held without bond and will be given a court -appointed attorney.
